Doubles on the board
Doubles are the part of Mexican Train that trips up new players, and the app enforces them for you. This is what an unsatisfied double looks like on screen, why your options suddenly narrow, and how it gets cleared.
1. A double — both halves the same — behaves differently from any other domino.
2. This 0-0 is sitting unsatisfied at the end of the Mexican Train.
3. Until somebody covers it, the board will only let you play on that train.
4. The player who laid it could not cover it, so it passed along to the next player.
5. Cover it with a matching domino and the game opens back up as normal.
