Mexican Train is meant to be comfortable to play at any age and on any screen. Here’s what you can adjust, and what the game adapts automatically.

Make everything bigger

Element size has four settings and scales the whole board — dominoes, buttons, text and all. It’s the single most useful setting if the game feels small.

1. Open a game and click Menu at the bottom of the screen.
2. Choose Display settings.
3. Pick one of the four Aa sizes. The board resizes straight away.

Give the numbers their own colors

Add colors to tiles is a setting in the same Display settings panel. Tick it and every number from 0 to 12 gets its own color. The colors are fixed, so a 9 looks the same in every game, and each one is paired with black or white text chosen for strong contrast.

Fit more, or less, on screen

Change number of columns on screen controls how many players’ trains are visible at once. Fewer columns means bigger trains. It sits in the same Display settings panel, just under Element size. There’s also Reorder columns under Advanced Settings there if you’d rather have particular players next to each other.

Turn the sound and pop-ups off

Disable all sounds mutes the game, and Hide notifications turns off the pop-up messages. Both are settings in the same Display settings panel — Menu at the bottom of the screen, then Display settings — and both apply to the game you’re in, so you can quiet one noisy game and leave the rest alone. Light or dark

Pick Light, Dark or System from Color Theme — it’s in Display settings during a game, and on your Account page. System follows whatever your device is set to.

Things that happen automatically

• If your device is set to reduce motion, the game honours it — animations are minimised without you turning anything on.
• You can pinch to zoom on a phone or tablet; nothing is locked.
• Every control can be reached with the keyboard, and the game never relies on color alone to tell you something.

There’s no separate accessibility menu to hunt for — the settings above are the accessibility settings, and they live where you’re already playing.
