How it started
At the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, my wife mentioned that there was no good way to play Mexican Train dominoes online. Her family played it in person all the time, and we missed it. As a web developer, I decided to build a simple, ad-free version so we could keep our family game nights alive.
How it grew
My mother-in-law shared the game in her Florida retirement community's Facebook group, and suddenly, the site exploded. What started as a fun side project grew from a few games a day to thousands of concurrent players. We realized that MexicanTrain.Online had become a vital way for families, friends, and seniors to stay connected during the pandemic. Today, hundreds of people jump on Zoom or video calls every day to play this classic dominoes-based game together.
