Public and private trains

Every player has a train of their own, and most of the time only they may add to it. But a train can be opened up to everyone — and one train is open to everybody from the start. Knowing which is which is most of knowing where you may play.

1. Every player has their own train, running down their column.

2. A train with no marker is private — only its owner may add to it.

3. An orange train marker means that player got stuck, so anyone may play there.

4. If it is your marker, playing on your own train takes it back down.

5. The Mexican Train belongs to nobody and is open to everyone, always.

6. So on your turn you have three choices: your train, an open one, or the Mexican Train.
